Some of Erpenius’s manuscripts were produced in Europe. This magnificent Bible has the traditional Aramaic translation alongside the Hebrew. It was probably written in Germany, and the scribe added a few notes of complaint in Yiddish as he tired of carrying out the meticulous work.
